Joseph Kresser IV, Vietnam Veteran, to Be Laid to Rest After Two Years of Unfinished Affairs in Thayer, MO

Joseph Kresser IV, a dedicated Vietnam War veteran, passed away nearly two years ago. His family is now raising funds to honor his final wish and provide him with the respectful burial he truly deserves.

Joseph was cremated shortly after his passing, but due to unresolved legal issues, his ashes have remained unclaimed at a funeral home. His wife, who also passed away last year, had not completed the necessary arrangements, leaving his ashes in limbo.

Now, his family is working tirelessly to secure the legal clearance to bring Joseph home and lay him to rest with dignity. The emotional toll of this prolonged situation has been difficult for his family, but they remain committed to fulfilling his final wishes.

A heartfelt message from the family reads: "No one should be left waiting like this. We are determined to give him the respectful burial he deserves." The family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to cover legal fees and the remaining funeral costs.

The community continues to support Joseph’s family, with condolences pouring in as they prepare for the upcoming memorial services.
