Taras Tkachenko passed away unexpectedly on April 10th at the age of 41, leaving friends, family, and the music world in profound grief.
A brilliant composer, Taras created full scores for orchestras, feature-length films, television shows, and individual artists, earning accolades for his innovation and creativity. His work "Ukrainischer Rhapsodie," performed by the American Symphony Orchestra, marked a milestone in his career and won him the Jacob Druckman Prize for excellence in music composition at Bard College.
Films that featured Taras's compositions include "Betrayal" (2013), "Die Fighting" (2014), "Captured" (2018), and "Even After Everything" (2018), showcasing his versatile talent across multiple genres.
