Bill Burgeson, Beloved Community Member and Outdoor Enthusiast, Remembered Through Memorial Bench and Bike Station in Dickinson County, IA

Bill Burgeson, a cherished member of the Dickinson County community, is being honored with a memorial bench and bike tire fixing station on the trail connecting Lake Okoboji and Lake Park, Iowa, where Bill spent much of their life.

Friends and family have organized the tribute to celebrate Bill's passion for the outdoors and their love for the local trail.

Charle Hull, a long-time friend, shared, "This fundraiser will help pay for a Memorial Bench & bike tire fixing station on the Dickinson County Trail, a place Bill loved dearly."

Two memorial events are planned to honor Bill’s life. The first will take place on June 20th at Pikes Point in Okoboji, IA, with a celebration of life and picnic lunch. The second will be a community bike ride starting at Terry Trueblood Park in Iowa City, IA, on June 27th at noon.

The outpouring of support and donations reflects the deep respect and affection the community holds for Bill. Friends and neighbors continue to share memories and condolences online, celebrating Bill’s legacy of kindness and community spirit.
