Dakota Shyanane Collins, Beloved Coward, SC Community Member, Passes Away at 29, Leaving Lasting Legacy of Love and Inspiration
Dakota Shyanane Collins of Coward, South Carolina, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 29, leaving family, friends, and the community heartbroken.
Known for their warmth and kindness, Dakota’s presence touched many lives, inspiring those around them to embrace life with purpose and gratitude.
Family members shared their grief online, with heartfelt messages celebrating Dakota’s memory and encouraging others to honor their life through love and remembrance.
Dakota is predeceased by grandmothers Vickie Collins and Mary Ann Todd, and survives through parents Shawn Todd and Tora Collins, children Cayden Beard and Colin Beard, brothers Brice Collins and Shem Collins, half-brother Austin Todd, and grandfather Jimmy Todd.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Carolina Funeral Home in Scranton, SC, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.
